- Replace furnace filter (every 1-3 months)
- Test thermostat and carbon monoxide detectors
- Clear area around furnace of combustibles
- Inspect and clean burners
- Check heat exchanger for cracks
- Test ignition and safety controls
- Flush condensate line (high-efficiency furnaces)
Spring — Before Cooling Season
- Clean or replace AC filter
- Clear debris from around outdoor condenser unit
- Check refrigerant levels
- Test AC operation before hot weather
- Clean condenser coils
